Our fun days are always a huge success and greatly enjoyed by dachshunds and their owners.  This particular May Day had to be postponed as the original date was rained out leaving the grounds at Durack very muddy and sloshy and not suitable to hold an event of any sort.  A new date of Sunday 5 June was chosen, which fortunately dawned nice and sunny and enabled the 200 or more dachshunds that attended to have lots of fun playing, walking, socialising and competing in the fun events of the day.

Our thanks go to all the organisers and stall holders for helping to put on such a successful event which raised $2787 for the Devoted 2 Dachshunds Rescue club, to assist with paying the huge vet bills they face annually to care for their fostered and rescued dachshunds.  Another event is planned later in the year in September which we hope everyone will support.

Photos on the day were taken by our volunteer roving photographer Tracey McKosker who takes really beautiful photos.  Thanks go to Tracey for these great shots, we’re sure the owners appreciate and enjoy seeing their dogs on our website and on our social media page.
