Why become a member?
Dachshunds are one of the most popular breeds of dogs in Australia and our club strives to bring all people together who love the breed, be it the public, breeders and owners. We welcome new members to the club, particularly owners and lovers of our wonderful Breed.
Whether you intend to show your dogs, or perhaps to attend Earth Dog trials, or just to attend our training days, you are most welcome. You may have a Dachshund as a pet and not be interested in showing but are keen to join in on the Fun Days and Social Events that we hold during the year and again, you are most welcome.

Become a Member
We encourage you to join the club, to learn more about your Dachshund and to spend quality social time interacting with other Dachshunds and their owners. Membership is done on an annual basis from 1 October to 30 September each year and costs $20 per individual or $25 per couple. If you should join halfway during the year then a pro-rata payment can be calculated.

DACHSHUND BREED STANDARDS
A breed standard is a guideline that describes the ideal characteristics, temperament, and appearance of a breed and ensures that the breed is fit for function with soundness being essential.
UK DACHSHUND BREED COUNCIL
Our Australian Dachshund breed standard is modelled on that of the Dachshund Breed Council in the UK and as such we keep up to date with the breed standard and regulations from the governing body in the UK.
